A post-surreal cacophony of family videos interpose upon footage of an unusual painting process. As life itself worms its way green across the pebbles, a young girl wields the true rod of mercy. A father rattles the dead tree. Is the music haunting or is it mocking us? Where are we in this picture, between the sonogram and the wave? And what will the birds eat, when everything is over?
